Parry Welch Lacey LLP was formed because our three founding partners wanted to work within a legal practice that was committed to providing the best possible service to its clients, something that they could not achieve whilst working for others. We opened our doors in December 2009 and, unlike many firms, our partners do not hide in offices but are ready to greet you as soon as you walk into our offices.

JAMES PARRY
James ParryJames Parry is a solicitor advocate who began his legal career in 1984 when he was a magistrates’ court clerk in the North East of England. James moved to the Merseyside area in 1990 and worked in Liverpool Magistrates’ Court before moving into private practice in 1996. James has worked for a number of leading legal practices in Merseyside and Manchester and specialises in criminal law, road traffic defence and licensing law.

She is a qualified duty solicitor and an accredited police station representative which means she is able to deal with matters from the police interview, all the way through the magistrates' court proceedings providing continuity and support throughout.

Kate also has expertise in defending local authority prosecutions of benefit fraud and again can represent clients from the interview with the benefit agency through the magistrates' court proceedings.

Kate’s family law practice includes divorce cases, financial settlements and children disputes such as contact and residence.

Kate is also experienced in obtaining emergency orders from the court such as occupation orders to allow you to remain in your home after separation, restraining orders to keep away violent partners, specific issue and prohibited step orders to deal with things such as disputed children issues such as name changes, schooling and religion.

RICHARD LACEY

Richard LaceyRichard Lacey is a former barrister who converted to the solicitors profession. Richard transferred to the legal profession following 25 years as a police officer with Merseyside Police. His ‘inside knowledge’ of custody and other procedures make him a very effective police station representative. It also means that he can sometimes find an approach to police evidence which might not otherwise be obvious and ensures that the police are less able to cover their weaknesses.

Richard specialises in defending criminal cases and magistrates' court advocacy and has particular expertise in dealing with anti-social behaviour orders.
